RS 10W-60 is for early production E39 M5. It is excellent oil and good for the E34 M5 also. The E34 was designed with standard oil on mind, 20W-50 is good for summer. Any good quality synthetic is a bonus for it. I use Mobil 1 15W-50 since is is much cheaper than the Castrol RS but still much better than standard oil. Castrol Syntec, Red Line and others are also good to use.
