Several local dealer technicians have related incidents to me of leaky/blown head gaskets which they attribute to overzealous attempts to pressurize an M5 cooling system via air compressor hose...SO, BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!
I believe that maintaining proper pressure (7 psi) in the system raises the boiling point of the coolant and this is important (required) for extracting the heat from this monster engine.

Can some one on this board educate me and the rest about the need to maintain the proper pressure in the M5's coolant system?
Thanks
Victor.
