Last night I drove 200 miles at over 100 as high as 140. If you like cars, this is the ultimate 4 passenger. go for it.
Hi Everyone,
I'm considering buying a used M5. I've come across
an MY 1992 car with under 80,000 miles. The car is
in very good condition--not immaculate, but close.
There is some chafing of the leather, the headliner
in the back of the car is loose, and their is paint
fade on the trunk (they repainted the hood I assume for
similar reasons). I've had a BMW mechanic (top rate)
give it a look and his opinion is that the car is
solid. He found very minimal oil leakage, but felt
it was within normal limits for a car of a this age.
The car really is impressive--it looks like it just
rolled off a two year lease by a someone who babied
it. I beleive that I can get the car for around $20k,
perhaps a bit more. So my question is: Is this a good buy?
Are there other issues I should consider (were there
major revisions after the '92 year, perhaps?). Thanks
for your input!
