I have had this noise for over a year every time I hit a heavy bump in the road, thought it was loose cover under the car, but I decide to check the other day and realized it was coming from the rear driver side wheel. Thought it might be my shocks, so I bounced each one and they seem okay, but the rear driver sdie again clank even though the shock seem to be doing it's job. Anyone experienced something similar on ther E34 (1995 540i)? Thanks!
