Steve:

After the 95 M3 you're going to find the Touring were soft and with a pronounced tendency to roll. I have a friend who has an S50 (95 M3 engine) in an Touring and the body roll, etc., ruins the experience of the M3 power.

My suggestion: Get a cheap Touring (if you need a touring) and start saving the money for the S50 conversion. Should be doable (with manual tranny) for around $8k.

Touring should be $10k or so.

Alternatively, you HAVE to upgrade the suspension!

I was wondering what type of issues I should be aware of? I am looking to but a 1993 525it auto. It has 120k on the engine. Are there a good amount of modifications on the market for this car? Is the automatic too slow of a car to be able to squeze more HP out of it. Thanks for any advice you can offer me.
