Do the usual check-up on the car:
1. Steering box
2. Front suspension thrust arms
3. Tranny
4. Engine leaks - mainly crank front seal that is tough to fix
Other than that, this is one of the most robust power plants and chassis that BMW has made. I'd recommend it highly.
Be sure to check pricing against equivalents on www.traderonline.com and such.

I have a chance to buy a 92 535 Automatic with only 60,000 miles. The price is pretty good. The car is in excellent shape. Anyone have suggestions? Is this an expensive car to maintain and fix? I need a very reliable car. What is this car worth on the market?
