Regardless, the 500E has completely different engine characteristics.

As would be obvious, the M5 loves to rev and makes more power at high rpm.

The 500E has a torquey V8 and makes most of its power down low, but runs out of breath at high rpm.

"Quicker" defines so little about a car's characteristics that it should be well down on a comparison of different cars. The question you should ask yourself is "how do I drive, and which car suits my needs better?"
