I spilled 2 gallons of water in my car (it's a long story) and don't know how to get it out. I don't think a wet vac will work because the sound deadening has absorbed most of it. It has been 2 days and it is starting to mildew. It is not warm here in Boston (raining for 4 days) so It doesn't evaporate. I do not have any time over the next week to take the carpet out. Do I need to have it professionally cleaned? Any suggestions would be great.
