Ok well i owned an M5 in Avus Blue and It is listed as Metalic in the engine bay and it sure wasnt a pearl effect. Have you seen an e34 in Avus blue, it is a metallic not a pearl effect.

But regardless you are saying that they are the same color no matter what the name is. So as not to confuse anyone.
