Correct. 311bhp @ 6,900 rpm for US spec cars. Euro-spec are 340bhp. Supposedly the Dinan chip makes Euro-spec power, but I kinda doubt it.

Owner's manual says not to exceed 4,000rpm until oil temp reaches 122 degrees F. M5's have an oil temp gauge in place of that funky fuel-economy gauge that other Bimmers have ;>)
