My EDC switch only has a light behind the "S" and NOT the "K" and I've always been curious if it's just a burnt out bulb or am I always in the "S" mode.

for all of you owners that had problems with the EDC on your 3.8L M5's and 540 sports, I tool the car to the dealer and they simply reset the fault code in the computer and it now works.

I would however first check the 3 pronged wire attachment that go from the shocks, look for a bad connection there. Try the rears first as that is where I hear they are most common. Mine however was fine it was simply a fault that needed to be reset by the MoDIC. You may be able to reset it with one of the Peak type code reader/reset tools

If you have any questions feel free to ask
