I posted previiously about an idle surge problem. Someone suggested to me that there might be a separate electronic control for the idle circuit - he said in the earlier cars it was inside the car in the vicinity of the glovebox and was about the size of a pack of cigarettes.

Anyone know whether this is valid for the e34 M5?
