My '91 has LAD self-leveling suspension. Not as complicated as EDC, but does require replacement of $400 (US) rear struts every 80-90k miles. Some folks swap in regular shocks if the car is not pressed hard with rear passengers/luggage.

By the way, I think EDC is used on all four corners and is tied into the computer...
