I am a 320i driver and looking at a 89 535 auto, 123000 miles. the interior is leather hardened and cracked. Drives nice, air conditioning replaced several years back, ice cold. At a stop light and the pulling there was a little vibration sound about in the center of the car, only heard it once. One of the exhaust end pipes is bent in, but could be pulled out, slight exhaust noise. Is there alot of problems with the 535 series in the automatics. Most parts in bav and bmp look close to my 320i. One other problem the back doors and I think the passenger door have a tight seal but are alittle hard to open, might just need oiled really well.
How is working on these? I am a decent mechanic on the 320.
