I drained the 75W-90 from the transmission, filled it with Dextron III with a tablespoon of MoS2 (Z Moly Powder), dropped it off the blocks, and went to fill the tires.
It was about 9 PM, cool and wet from an afternoon shower. I head South through light traffic, immediately noticing the improved ride. The car is light and precise, a scapel carving the road. I've got the radio off, only the (hum, whir, ???) of the engine, wet tire noises and an occasional thump going over expansion joints intrude. I am gliding, silent, precise and powerful. Life is good.
Head North till I get to the rutted road near my house. Not a hint of tramlining. Too good to be true, I used to white knuckle through this area. It was all I could do to stay in my lane at 30-40 MPH. I turn around for another pass with the same results. Success! It was worth all the work.
Time will tell if I have the tramlining licked. It may come back when the tires start to wear. The suspension feels very neutral on the few hard turns I've made. I'll find out if there is excessive outer tire wear, but given inner wear was an issue before, I'm not too concerned.
