Need your help! How much is this worth....... (archive)

An acquaintance of mine has a '91 M5 for sale. He says it has 73k, interior needs to be refreshed, exterior is good, SLS is currently working very well, don't know about maintenance records. He also say it runs well EXCEPT tranny has no second gear, BMW says 4k for new tranny but others think maybe its just the 2nd gear synchro. He has said $13k but may negotiate and he told me he really wants to sell it to me. Thanks in advance for any and all input!!!
