Thanks for responding. Went to see it today it hasn't really been run for about 1-1.5 years with old fluids and therefore didn't get to drive it. Door panels have delaminated, headliner sags, seats are dried out and discolored w/ a few dents on the body here and there and peeling paint on the spoiler. Tires are pretty much trashed and the wheels are 17" ATE 5 spokes with a good case of road rash. The A/C is out of freon. Started up fine and sounded good at idle, exhaust system solid and no leaks, pulled the oiler filler and both engine and oil looked clean. It needs about $6k right off the bat and maybe more that I don't know about since it hasn't been driven. I think I'll pass but too bad what's happened to this white beauty.and the car was not neglected, I think 13k is a good price, you need to be sure however that all other major mechanicals are in decent shape.
You are very smart to pass on this one. Your estimate of 6k to repair is very modest. Look in Auto Trader.com where there are dozens available for 15-20K that are in good shape cosmetically and mechanically.
If you are interested, I have a "cherry" alpine white 1991 M5 with 115K I am selling to get a 2000 M5. Email me and I'll send you the brochure with pictures.
