That message means the suspension is too low and the leveling system is not working. A minor leak will not cause that, but first check the fluid. You do not have to remove the screen the fluid level should be visible above the screen.
I have a 1994 M5 Touring model that is displaying the message "suspension leveling - Owners Manual" I think that it is caused by a Right Rear hydraulic strut that has a small leak. What are my options? Replace, fix, get a whole new suspension, etc... Any ideas?
