I heard that BMW is more seriously considering a 4wd version of the e46 3-series to be released sometime after the 3-series wagon. This would somewhat make sense if the wagon was 4wd because other than the 325ix, the other 4wd BMWs before the X5 were 5-series wagons I'm pretty sure. The US may not get a 4wd 3-series option but I wouldn't be surprised to see it in europe. Whow knows. Like I said, just rumors.
