Yes and no it is not the same driveshaft but it is the same tranny the only thing you need to do is get a M3 or 325 clutch disk , pressure plate, new output shaft, shifter shaft seals, reverse light switch, driveshaft guibo, and new shift knuckle (and a shifter would help also) and your done !

: Does the 318ti have the same transmission and driveshaft as a 325i (saw this on some webpage)? If this is so could you put a 325i m50 engine in the 318ti without changing the tranny and driveshaft?
