...with mine. It was the sending unit. It was covered under the CPO warranty. My speedo died along with the mpg gauge...but the tachometer (and everything else on the instrument cluster) continued to work.

I don't know how much it would cost to fix...but it took them less than an hour to perform the diagnostic and replace the sending unit.
