help, H&R Race vs. Sport - pls post experiences(m) (archive)

i know that the race springs are much stiffer and the ride is harsher, but by how much? i do not care about the appearance of the vehicle and how much it is visably lowered. i am also installing bilstein sports. i am interested in the best handling and ride compromise. is there any rubbing or fender rolling needed for the race springs w/ 235/40-17s? a mechanic told me that i should get bosch heavy duty shock mounts. could someone tell me about these? how about cutting bump stops?
