Help?Aircon on E36 has noisy kick-on (archive)

My air conditioner on my 98 E36 is very noisy when I switch it on.
It makes a growlinbg noise, like a shaft or belt or some part that seems dry (not oiled).
Furthermore it makes cold and works fine.

Any ideas what part or problem this could be ?
