: Door Sills are the metal stripes between the door and the frame. When you open your door, look down and you see some metal stripes going across, like you can put your feet on it - looks like a step.
: Those are door sills. On an M3 for example, they actually say M3 on them, they're not just plain like on all other non-M cars.

The guy I talked to at BMW had no idea what I was talking about(!) - you know the side moldings, glovebox panel, door sill set from the M3 GT models. I know others that sell them, but they are pretty expensive.
