If not vaccum, it is definitely the idle valve selenoid. I had the same problem, changed the module, now its perfect.. You can even change the part yourself.... it is very basic and obvious. The part is located on the right of the valve cover.. just on top. You cant miss it. PS- my car is a 1993 318.
