the number of 'superwhite ' bulbs that are appearing on the market today are totally without merit. These bulbs which claim to put out more power on the same amount of voltage ie. 85 watts from 55 watt power are pulling your chain. These bulbs are no better than your factory ones, in fact your factory bulbs are a hell of a lot better
than these. If you want the best lighting for your E36, purchase the european headlamp assemblies, which may set you back a few dollars more than a set of bulbs, but in the end you'll be happy you did. Hope this info helps.
