They are good but for the price ($400)you can get better sound from a 10 inch sub in a sealed box that won't take up that much space in the trunk. I had the JL's but I felt that the sound wasn't as good when you lose the rear speakers. So I replaced it with a single 10 inch Infinity Kappa Perfect sub in a sealed box and the sound is much much better. Good luck with whichever choice you make
