i set of a firestorm of debate last year in the roundel when i complained about yale rachlin,editor emeritus. he insists that bmw is the ultimate authority and the say that cars are bimmers and motorcycles are beamers. my point was that since most of the people i have talked to in my 24 years of bmw ownership say beamer when referring to the cars, perhaps the terms are interchangeable. mr rachlin would not yield on that point.
