Has anyone gotten sway bars and NOT liked them? (archive)

I am very hessitant to install sway bars because I think I heard that they make the ride of teh car less comfortable. Is this true? Right now my set up is 17" wheels, 235/40 tires, and RD springs, the green ones, with stock shocks.
Any recomendations? Will sway bars make teh ride any less comfortable. How much are teh Eibach sway bars, and how difficult is installation if I dont have a lift?
