I'm running TSW vx-1's on my 92 325i and they're great wheels. Look awsome while at speed.... About them being known to bend, this is true. I'm not sure the exact reason why, but don't be led to believe the rims are in any way poorly manufactured.
I bought my car with them already installed and they had two small, unnoticable(sp?) bends in the right rear wheel. It bothers me from time to time (I'm a perfectionist by heart) but in now way affects the appearance of the rim.
However, with proper care, you new rims should be fine. Plus, as someone had said before, the price for TSW's is right.
Good luck
