Happened to my 94 325is. AC was weak until I got it recharged with R134a.

I've read that the compressor seals tend to have a slow leak when the AC system is infrequently used. Try a recharge and report back to us.

: Heat works great in my car, but trying to run the air conditioning just doesn't seem to be working. The temp is around 74 degrees outside and the air just doesn't get any colder when you press the A/C button. It will cool the car some but it seems broke. Is there something I can do to fix this? I can't imagine what it would be like in the summer when it's 90 degrees or so out. I've heard replacing the microfilter will help some, is this fixable without a mechanic? How much? I have a bentley manual...is it easy to do with that? Thanks

: Jeremy
