I have the same problem on my '94 4 door... it seems to take excessive force to close the doors. It is getting worse with time. Plus the inner door panels squeek and rattle and are loose.

It is getting harder and harder to "pop" open the doors using the handle

Sometimes the inner door panels stick, and over time get pulled out. I have replaced the white/green clips behind the panel but this only helps for a few months

I believe they tried to make the doors fit too tightly.
