: Turner Motorsport has a camber/castor plate listed on their website. While the title says camber / castor plate, the description only mentions camber adjustability. I want to get rid of the Tramline from my E36 convertible that has 17" wheels. I checked the archives and have found the using M3 strut bushings add castor which eliminates tramline. My E36 is lowered so I also need to dial in some positive camber to help with tire wear. So if you do indeed have camber and castor adjustability, this would kill 2 birds with one stone. Has anyone had experience with the Turner motorsport camber castor plates? Give me all the details. Tell me about the rear essentrics also.

No takers yet? That's OK because I found a huge discovery this evening. There is a camber adjustment on the rear of the E36. On the rear lower control arm I found an eccentric washer/bolt that connects that arm to the rear hub assembly. Apparantly the bozzo who aligned the car before had the left ajusted in the middle position and the right for full negative camber. I always wondered why the car looked a little funny from the rear. I adjusted both to introduce the most positive camber avaialable which brings both sides back awfully close to 0 degrees. (remember I have Eibach springs) Camber is still just slightly negative and now it looks even. I test drove the car and it didn't even feel like the same car. It transformed the car from twitchy nervous handling to a very solid feel especially over chatter bumps where I had the most problem before. The scraping is gone too. Tramline is greatly reduced but is not completely gone. This isn't some mod the previous owner did, I checked the Bently manual and there are several pictures of the eccentric bolt/washer plain as day but no mention on how to adjust it. They maintain camber and castor are not adjustable. Very peculiar indeed.
