I'm planning on upgrading the stock 10 speaker stereo system in my '93 325i, and I thought I'd check if any of you had any suggestions. I've got some ideas, but I'm not really sure of what direction to take
on such things as subs and amp(s). I don't really need sidewalk-shaking bass; cost, ease of installation, and space considerations take precedence over power. If you have any ideas/suggestions or answers to any of the questions below, I'd greatly appreciate your feedback.

My upgrade ideas, along with questions:

- Nakamichi CD-45z head unit w/ amber display.
(Where can I get an amber unit? Green units are
$309.99 at www.soundhabit.com, but unauthorized
dealers like this one don't tend to have the
amber units.)

- A/D/S/ 2-way speakers up front.
(Should I go with the 345is? They're $379.99 at
www.soundhabit.com)

- A/D/S/ amp mounted in the trunk.
(Which model? Should I use one amp to power both
the front speakers and the subs?)

- JL Audio subwoofers mounted in place of the factory rear speakers.
(Which model? Do I need a separate amp? What's
the best way to mount them? Will I need to build
some sort of enclosure similar to JL's Stealthbox
or do something else?)

Thanks, Mark
