Heating the paint on your car is a technique used on waxes like Zymol and McGuires. After polishing your car, you let it bake a short while, and then buff it again for a richer shine.

I don’t think this is the case, as most detailers don't use these time consuming types of waxes. The only issue I see water stains… If you have the time, you should consider doing your own detailing. It's not rocket science and the car will love you for it!
