Each bulb will draw about 8.5 amps Are you sure the wireing and more importantly the fusebox can handle this total of 17 amps. ?????
I would forget checking the the lamp itself leave it on for an hour the feel how warm the fuse and the wireing to the lamp.
You will probably find the wire is quite warm and will over time cause the insulation to become brittle and then crack.
I may be wrong but a loom designed for a total load of 9.7 Amp will be unlikely to be able to cope with 17 amp load. good luck with your testing let us know how it went.
I just use 100watt H1 with a small 2 pole 10 amp relay. ( you will probably find they are brighter still if you do this )
