#1 Take everything of value out of the car. Only the car itself is insured for damage or theft. The cars are required to be shipped unlocked. When the truck driver stops at the truck stop to snooze the cars are often opened by truck stop thieves and valuables are stolen. Sometimes the truck driver personally steals items for himself and blames it on truck stop thieves.

#2 Take detailed photos of the car before it is shipped. Make sure the car is delivered in the daytime so you can carefully inspect for possible damage.

Good luck. You're car will probably arrive in satisfactory condition.

: I am shipping my car this week.
: 1. Do you guys have any personal experience with the shipping companies ?
: 2. Any recommended shippers ?
: 3. Any advisable precautions to take while shipping? Specially if shipping in an open truck.
: Thanks,
