My fustration is due to a jack stand making an indentation in the underside of the panel just behing my right front tire. I used the rubber bump stop for the jack I was using and put the stand just in front of the jack. A screw is locked in postion for the jack to come up. Air bled past the screw causing the jack to come down slighly. When I noticed the car slowly coming down, I tightened the screw, and pumped-up the jack again. When I crawled under the car to change my oil (92 325i), I noticed the stand caused an indentation on the underside of the panel. Where is a safe place for the jack stand?
