E36 Power Convertible Top, Problem?? (archive)

I would appreciate hearing from E36 convertible owners who have the power top. Is it reliable? I am negotiating to buy a '97 328iC with the power top. It seems to work fine but have heard that they can be problems. What should I be looking for or should I go with a manual top? Thanks.
