Hi Randall

It's pretty reliable. Normal problems are leaks around the front end. There is a upgraded one with drains, that many got replaced under warranty. I personally like the powertop from the 96 better. It was a semi automatic, with a manual release instead of a fully automatic. Less parts that can go wrong. I've had my top adjusted 3 times since new, besides that it fine. If it does jam or quit operating in mid cycle, read the owners manual and use the supplied tool in the tool box to complete the cycle. I've heard of people forcing them shut..... gets expensive..:)

Regards
Carl
