: So what if the owner has a M badge on his or
: her car, how do you know if the user has a
: M3 engine under the hood?? if both body's
: of a M3 and 325i/is are called e36, and you
: have a M3 engine transplnt under your hood, can
: you have a m3 badge on your car?? Maybe the
: user has a original M-Technic from the factory.
: They just have the M badge on the back of their
: car. So what if they have a M badge on their car
: Their all BMW's.. it's not like putting a SI
: or Vtec sticker on the back of your BMW.
: Dosen't the M stand for Motorsport's???
: Chill out guyssss G!

: 94 325is M-Technic

post that to the ///M3 board!:-O
the ///M badge doesn't just "stand" for motorsports. It indicates that the car and it's parts meet BMW Motorsports criteria. Not just the motor either. There are tons of parts that are similar/same between the e36s, but the ///M cars have certain critical performance parts that are unique to them.
It also insures that you pay 2x as much for parts!!
