CD Changer ?? - 1992 325i Instal (archive)

I installed a Pioneer CDX 30 just fine (power and data cable in trunk). However it doesn't show up on my radio as being hooked up. Anyone know how to jump start this after install? I have an Alpine 2 radio which I am told is compatible. Thanks!
