My experience with these is limited, but I do know you absolutely want to get an orbital buffer. These use "random" elliptical motions instead of a circular motion, simulating a hand buffing. If you get a traditional rotational polisher it is very easy to burn into the paint, and that's something you don't want to risk doing!
