Squealing Brakes, question (archive)

My brakes started squealing today. The car has 60,000 miles on it. I have done brakes on trucks (domestic). Is it pretty much the same, replace pads, bleed each caliper? Is there anything tricky, special tools, etc. . ? What kind of pads should I use? ANy information would be appreciated? By the way it is 96 318is.
