I am considering purchasing an electric buffer to apply/remove wax/polish. Been applying it for years by hand but I would do it more often if it was easier! Any suggestions on brand/your success with using the hand-held buffers? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

I got mine thru Griot's Garage, and have been very happy with it. It is actually "6 inch random orbital sander" made by Porter-Cable, which is an excellent company, and comes with a velcro-like adapter to hold the foam application pads.
I happened to be talking to a professional detailer at a car show once, and that is what he uses. However, he felt that they polishes and waxes they sell are harder to remove than most, and I think he is right.
