I found instructions on how to reset the Service Idicator light without using the reset tool (link below). It works on my 1988 E30 M3 but not on my 1992 E36 325i. Any ideas?


I don't have the reference but I reset my '94. On newer models, as I recall, you connect as shown, turn key to position two, remove ground for three seconds, then re-connect to ground. Switch ignition off. Then turn on to see if it worked.
