The best disks are made of a form of cast-iron known as Meonite, and it rusts if you even look at it crossways. But, it STOPS you. If I had to park my car for a few weeks, in an environment where rust was that much of a problem, I'd try a *light* mist of WD-40 or something that will flash off eventually but will keep the discs a little protected for a few weeks. To me your woes tell me that BMW's have got good brakes!

As for the Hog, I can't help you there, except to say that Beemer flat-twins are the classic machines that Hogs have always been purported to be, but aren't.
