Sorry about giving little details. My car is a '93 325is w// Vanos. I have 65K miles and it was last services at 64K miles. I always use 91 octane. Now that some one mentioned it I actually remembered my parents MB used to hesitate like that when I floored it. It's just slow for a sec or two.

Also, how many miles on your car, have you serviced the car? What type of gas/octane rating are you using. If you are feeling hesitation on acceleration there could be something that needs to be serviced.

Also, Some pre-93 BMW's did not come w/ VANOS (Something like VTEC), which will give better torque response below 3000 rpm's. Later BMW came up w/ dual Vanos which is supposed to help low end torque even more. BMW didn't make our cars to be a rice rocket off the line, If you want a racecar to really take the doors off your wifes car buy an M3 or a V8. Also, buy some life insurance if both of you are racing and go to a good driving school.
I don't want to sound arrogant or sarcastic, but give us more info when you post so we can see what you are talking about.
regards
BB
