Used BMW 1993 325i (archive)

I looked at a 1993 325i today. The owner had the right side of the dash covered with tape. I asked him what it was, he said the light bothered him. I didn't take a look. What is the car alerts on the dash board (where the odometer is) esp. the bottom right hand side of that part. It would help immmensly.. the car drove great otherwise.. the seller was very nice and had all records as well as oil changes completed on time. Thanks for your help
