OK, not on the highway, but on an autocross. I've been away from autocross for a few years, but thought I would try the Bimmer. I dropped 3 seconds from first run to last after tire pressure adjustments and of course being in a new car for me. I know I was driving OK because I still ran right next to an M3 and comparable cars. But, two well prepared Neons, as well as two turbo MR2s kick most our butts. Only street legal cars that beat them were Vettes and 911s. So, I guess I better get busy on those suspension mods! PS. Totally stock expect the 17's. That bumped me into street prepared class, hence the highly modified neons. For the newbies, I ran a best of 38.02, a Neon a 35.56. Take away my electic windows, locks, sunroof, air, comfy seats, and all the other extra stuff, the bimmer probably would be right there with them. But, I like having all that stuff!
